I was wanting to get a set of springs for my S13, are all springs about the same or should I spend extra money and get the well known brands??

Also want to match em with a pair of KYB struts, anybody got any experence with them?

thanks

KYB are friggin excellent. And for springs, I gotta say go with teins. There are other major brands that work probably as well but I've had absurdly excellent experience with teins. Springs are NOT something you want to bargain bin. It would be safer to weld an intercooler out of a rusted bicycle frame than use cheap springs.

I use some cheap *** springs. They are great. even say tien on them the correct alignment angle of the part number and all. Box said another name tho.

I've got Tein coilover's and I absolutely love them...so if teins springs are made with any of the quality their coils are, then go with them.

What a coincedence that your asking this question. 2 days ago a friend and I installed the Tein s-tech springs and KYB struts on my s13. We had no power tools and only 2 jacks so it took a while. I must say the results made all the hours we spent well worth it! There is far less body roll, the ride is great (and quiet), the car is lighter and the stance is bad a$$!! I cant stop looking at my car and i look for any excuse to drive. If your on a budget but want quality i'd say its a winnning combo.

I have the Eibach pro kit with KYB GR2s. Ride & handling is perfect. Contrary to popular opinion, they are not at all soft.

I would like the car 1/2" lower though. They only lowered like 1".

Also, search for "spring rates" and read up a little.
