So I go into the local gun store and am looking to buy a concealment holster for my new pistol. All the holsters are behind the counter. I tell the guy that I need one for a SIG P225. He hands me one for a SIG P220/P226. Tells me that the P225 uses the same holster.
Now just to clarify, there is nothing, not a sticker or a sign ANYWHERE in the store that states "All Sales Are Final". If there is, it's in a very inconspicuous place, and NOWHERE near the cash register. I double checked tonight when I was up there. The receipt states it, but there is no way for you to know this prior to making the irreversible transaction.
Well, it doesn't fit. It is too damn big. I don't know this until I get home and try it out. Now this is a solid Kydex (plastic) holster. It's not like it is stained or scratched. It's not like it is a pair of underwear. It is in brand new condition. Never used. It came in a Ziploc bag, so it's not like the packaging is harmed. This could be returned or exchanged, and wouldn't have any negative effect on the store. The manager said he would see what he could find online, since the store doesn't carry anything that will fit my pistol. I'm not interested.
Now had the guy let me apply the $68 toward the purchase of something other than a crappy holster that I don't want that they don't carry, he would have kept a customer, and probably pulled more money into his store. I was willing to put the $68 toward a Surefire flashlight which was a little over $100. He refused. Restated that he will find me something online.
So for the first time ever, I have contacted Chase Bank to dispute a charge. They can't do anything until tomorrow when the charge posts to my account. At that point I can dispute the charge. I am wondering how this whole process works. I have never done this before.
Have any of you ever done this?
