Do you know if the RB20 ignitor dwell time is the same as the GS?

It's important because over time you can fry the ecu ignition drivers and/or the coils. Who knows maybe the GS coils are good match with the stock dwell length.

OK ... You have to send a wiring diagram and more pics ... I'm really interested in your setup. Mainly cause I chaned my setup to Buick Grand National coils but I have an extra motor and this setup would probably be a much more robust and reliable setup.

the ecu does control dwell angle, ive got the exact addresses mapped out in the ecu for romedit...the real trick here is if the coils are the same impedence as the stockers, but i dont see why you would want to go with coils that have integrated ignitors.personaly i like the coil + ignitor bit as there is enough heat generated by the coils that adding an ignitor on top seems like its asking for trouble.for the price of the coils you posted you can get a set of splitfire coils, but interesting idea none the less.

i have never seen them fail in five years and the the heat is ffurther away due to the top of the valve cover mountingas for impedence the toyotas have more by quite a bit 5-6ohms
