I will be going to Drexel in Philli starting in late September :)

I have a mostly stock red s13 fastback. soon to be doing electric fan mod, lightened crank pulley, aluminum 7 spokes, and new springs + shocks, and shortened intake.

Wont have access to the car during the week tho, but i can bum rides home friday nights to get the car from back home.

If you get a club goin definately let us know + more info!

Are you going to be keeping your car at Temple? (advise against it)

Stay away from the U of Penn area as well.

$19K into a '95 240SX turbo we built...down the tubes sitting there while the owner went into a bar there for 2 hours.

We were on suicide watch for the owner for a couple of days there. Had just finished the car a couple of days before, hadn't put full coverage on it yet (had to have the insurance company inspect it 1st) and the alarm was in the trunk, scheduled to be installed the next day.

Wow, that sucks. I am keeping my car at my home in jersey. On a slight side note...does anyone know if its possible to register and insure a car in PA as a student at drexel...i think it would still be cheaper then insurance in NJ even though it would be a philly zipcode.

Anyway, i hear there is some real good street racing in philly. gimme a shout though when this little club gets started.

I was about to go to Temple for grad school, and then promptly dropped out. Long, boring "life-epiphany" story.

It didn't seem bad, the main campus isn't hard to get to, and the neighborhood isn't too run-down...until you get a block or two west.

As for U of Penn, yes, definitely stay away from that area. It is ugly, ugly, ugly.

I think you mean Delaware Ave.

Would be a little hard to race on South Street...

The Philly streetracing scene blows goats these days anyway--they're not even pulling people over, they're just writing down everyone's license plate #s and mailing them streetracing tickets.

Passyunk Ave, in certain sections, used to be popular way back in the day when I had my zenki S13. It's pretty much deserted now, at least the parts I used to visit, although you can still spot the dark stripes on the road surface.

I've seen more people than this on NICO from philly. There's more out there, they just need to get on the boards.

Next week, PSU plays another tough school - Muhlenburg. (sorry couldn't resist) I think Temple deserves some props, as they hung in there tough for quite awhile. And if I were in JoePa's shoes, I 'd be thankful I wasn't playing Ohio State yesterday. as 'da Lions would have been spanked. PSU trivia: Which school handed Nittany Lions their worst football loss in school history?

I meant football game score, not an injured player. I was happy to hear he's doing much better.

Going out on a limb, I would guess Alabama, since they used to whomp on PSU quite often a decade ago. However, since we're talkng about Temple, are you going to surprise us, and tell us that it was in fact a team of long-ago of Temple?

Alabama was a good guess, but incorrect It was indeed looong ago, before 1900. JoePa was probably an assistant coach back then (snicker). It was little Lehigh University, (my alma mater) and if I remember right, the score was 100-0.
