are all of you guyz cheap? or what is the problem with your ka motors? people keep saying ka can put out 350hp but none of you cant even get over 250hp. do you not have good tuneing or is it those small cheap t3t4 turbos your all useing? and lets face it by the time you finish building your ka motor to handle what a stock sr can handle and buying a turbo and everything else you need to just turbo the engine you will spend just as much as an sr swap. and thats not including upgrades youll need to get more hp. take the cheap way out and youll never get over 300hp

404 whp with 100% stock KA motor with 115,000 miles on it. 384 whp with another 60k mile 100% bone stock KA S14 motor. Recently posted 390 whp by another stock KA motor.

I made 502 whp with just forged pistons in a KA. I made 638 whp when I added rods and cams.

Take a stock KA and add a turbo kit, fuel system, intercooler, and EMS and your TQ will be more then an SR will EVER see.

The SR has a LOT more aftermarket then the KA, but thats all changing. Watch out because the KA is coming on strong.

Size DOES matter and it sounds to me like your coming up "short" in one department

yup, it's those small cheap turbos (that, by the way, cost half as much and flow TWICE as much as a disco potato or whatever retarded *** flavor of the month turbo you SR guys are drooling over right now) that are holding us back.......

i know a lot of people who get a SR and never upgrade even though they say they will but "its so fast already" SR has a lot of potentiol too but not only KA people lag on their progress...people have lives and money is an issue with any engine...and also patience is key, no one likes to rush into things or else you wont be seeing your 400hp

Stock means stock.. The same way it rolled off the assembly line from Nissan. The 404 was on a 15 year old, never been opened up, touched or modified , 100% bone stock KA24DE.

Bolt on turbo kit (PK GT-32 turbo), fuel system (50lb injectors), intercooler kit, AEM EMS... flog on dyno.. 404 whp.

that a lot of power can you drive the car everyday or just at the track on weekends and will it hold up for aleast five years i dont want to blow my money on an car thats only going to last one year. i just need a car to play with when i come home and beat up on mustangs an cameros in town. we kinda have it made in lumberton we can race uptown and really dont have to worry about cops . and we also have a 3 race tracks like 20minutes away. and rockingham and florence isnt that far either. everybody and there mama has shops in there backyard and we even have a few BIGDOG shops here in town that do inhouse work but its mostly mustangs and cameros.

first off, you can't post up a question and phrase it as a put down and expect people to be happy with what you have done... like above i think you don't understand that *most* of the people who build a ka-t don't ever even dyno the damn thing. i never have, my ka turbo is faster than my brothers s14 sr (you know the one with variable valve timing and higher stock horsepower than the red top...it is stock by the way and we are both on ~7 psi.). i just don't understand at all how you went from "all you ka guys are losers who don't make power like sr guys" (which is total bull crap as everyone above has shown you) to hey i want to build me ka turbo... next time think before you type, please.

umm check out this site for a bunch of guys making lots of power from their ka's...http://www.ka-t.org/

you can get the pkgt-32 turbo kit on http://www.phatka-t.com

a ka turbo, regardless of the power, can last as long as the stock one, as long as you don't boost it up off of every light and drive like an idiot all the time. you have to take care of it with regular service and even more attention to little details than the regular engine because of the nature of turbo cars. with a good tune many people have their turbo ka's lasting years and years... it's just like every other engine, the more you abuse it, the shorter it will last.

I'm starting to think the same thing.

I'm cheap and proud of it. That doesn't mean my parts are crap, it just means I look for bargains and fabricate when at all possible.

lol see above i was trying...trying really hard to be nice to you despite all of the crap that was flowing from your mouth, but i guess everyone else said what my gut reaction would have been if you had caught me when i wasn't in a good mood. good luck making friends in a forum when you phrase things the way you do... this forum is filled with people who like their kat, so calling them cheap asses and putting them down isn't really going to establish you as a cool guy... just a thought...

Here's an idea, Start over...Make a new thread and ask some valid question. Ask how much HP can be made on stock internals. Ask what everyone prefers for turbo kits. Ask how much certain aspects of tuning are going to cost.

Being an A$$HAT in your first post is one sure way you'll never get any real help. NICO is simply the biggest Nissan Infiniti car club in the world. If you want answers to anything, you can find them here. But don't be such a prick while your asking.

I'm going to close this, since it's pointless and will only escolate into further Noob bashing. Feel free to make a new thread.

Welcome to NICO.
