Just finished replacement of radiator, t-stat and all 3 hoses on Q....

Pressure-washed the condensor from the inside out (lots of funk in the fins), as well as the transmission cooler.

Flushed the block and heater core, replaced with 80% distilled, 20% Prestone and 2 bottles WW.

Replaced all the foam surrounds, and she's all ready for the REAL heat.

Noticed the temp gauge sits EVER SO SLIGHTLY below 3:00, and dips somewhat at higher speeds, even at ambient 110 and constant 100mph for 20 minutes with A/C on full blast.

p.s. A/C is freakin' COLD now!!!!

Brian - It's just a radiator, dude. :)

I shot it with a light coat of flat black as well.

I want it. Hook me up with someone I can take my car, right out a check, and have it installed.

This guy is in Peoria.

Like I said before (and this guy has confirmed) any radiator shop worth a rip can do this job.

I did my own install. :)

So, since it has the twin heat exchanger tanks, did you bypass them or put the ATF cooler in series?

Seems silly to build them in when you could have more volume of coolant and more cooling area. Did cooling capacity increase much more than a quart?

Coolant capacity appears to be somewhat larger, but hard to tell...

Moved the ATF function and relegated it to the aftermarket cooler.

Aha! With an extra row and a wider radiator, really should be greater cooling capacity. Might have to kep this guy in mind for the future. Tell him to keep his notes, templates, or whatever.

AZ,

Can you give me his info. I'm sure it's not hard to replicate his work, but I like to go to proven people. Gives me extra piece of mind. I'm sure he wouldn't mind the business?

Guy used to work for Dan's on Gold Dust Ave.

He's not interested in doing any more of them (went to lunch with him this afternoon) but he says Dan would put something together for around $450-$500.... Smoking price compared with Griffin's deal.

I'll drop off my old one with him if you want (so he can use it as a jig).
