I just installed a new alpine cd player, and everything works just fine, but my speakers have tons of static in them like they're busted, and they're all kickers and like a week old. I crimped all the wires in and made sure nothing is touching anything. whats the prob?

If you just used butt connectors, try going back and soldering them instead. Are you running your speakers off an external amp or just off of the headunit itself? If you, re-run your signal cables. Also, you might have better luck if you move this to the appropriate section

If you are running an amp put the RCA cables separate from the power cable and get a good ground, also check that one of your speakers are not grounding.
Interference could be the RCA close to the power cable also.

No, no amp or anything. I think its just a bad ground somewhere on the drivers door speaker. I have it faded to the rear for now, and all i fine. I put it all on the right and it worked fine too, so its gotta be something going to the drivers side.

did you run your own speaker wire or just use the factory?
Id recommend running your own if you haven't already, factory speaker wire is trash.

on the door panels does it say "active speaker" on the speaker grille? if so you need to get rid of the factory door amps and bypass the rear factory amp located in the rear driver's side.

my speakers sounded like garbage until i got rid of the crappy factory amps. now i can crank up my tunes without it sounding all distorted and a bunch of static.
