Okay, so this is my fault...but I need a solution.

I was wiring up some leds through the dimmer switch and I must have crossed some wires. Well, now I lost all the dash lights that should dim. Well, not all of them, I only lost the A/C control lights, the radio lights (except for the display), and the auto shift selector light near your knee. Everything else is working.

Sliding the dimmer in either direction does nothing...And I *THOROUGHLY* checked all the fuses. Fuses in the car, under the hood...and under that white box with the black lid next to the battery. All are okay.

So, I ordered a new dimmer switch and hope that it will rectify my situation. Apparently, some other people have had similar probs when working on their stereo and no blown fuses...but when they replaced the dimmer...BAM...all good.

Wish me luck and I will post a follow up just in case anyone else has this problem in the future

Regards,Jack

From experience, crossing wire and dimmer switches = broken dimmer switch, although when i did that it was on a switch in a house, so i don't know if it would have the same effect or not.

Damn it damn it damn it damn it.

Okay, so last night I got pulled over for not having any tail lights whatsoever. Cool cop, didnt hastle me or anything. The wholse stop lasted all of 3 mins with no ID. anyways, I ramble. Okay, so I got the dimmer switch in today and it didnt work. Freaking out, I checked another fuse that I didnt suspect before. The tail lamp fuse under the hood.

Low and behold, theres the f***ing culprit. Changed that out and everything works. One damn fuse. So now I have a spare dimmer switch.

So yea, anyone else having this problem, just check the tail lamp fuse.
