I don't think they have any turbo kits out for the KA24E. So if you did go turbo the manifold and stuff would have to be custom made.

all motor sucks, who gives a crap about going high 14s in the quarter. save your money for a while and go turbo... whether it is sr or ka. http://www.realnissan.com specializes in turboing the ka24e.

My engine is about done, i went with a stock CR, but went forged bottom end. also port head, metal head gasket, JWT cam, ported intake, and throtle body. i plan i puting together a custom turbo setup in about a year.

I would probably save the money and go turbo. Its not cheap going turbo if something breaks i.e. headgasket/fuel pump/turbo..etc. Plus nothing feels better than feeling a bar of boost. Why not just even go for a CA swap?

whats your goal? do you plan on hitting the 14's? even if you want to get into the low 15's i think itll still be easier and maybe even cheaper to get a turbo swap.in my humble opinion (you can correct me if im wrong) but i dont think you can make more than 190hp at the SOHC crank with all bolt ons with an all motor 240 without spending the big bucks on upgrades such as higher compression pistons with upgraded fuel and ignition systems. now if we were talking about big displacement american motors, id say the cheapest way to go is with all motor, but considering that we're talkin about a 2.4L SOHC, id say spend the $2200 from daunttless and swap in an (dare i say it??????) SR20det (ooOOOoOO~ ) yourself and get yourself easily into the 15's with 205hp. i mean.. consider the other options.assuming that you install all these on your own, and with a broad price estimate:full exhaust: $500headers: $400c.a. intake $200performance ECU $300underdrive pulleys $200fuel pump and FPR $200congrats.. youve just spent close to the cost of an sr20 and youre barely faster than a civic.hey man, im broke too, and i cant afford to have a motor blow up, but i do want to go fast, thats why ive been saving my pennies and now im about ready to buy that SR, and install it myself, PLUS its a turbo motor from the factory, so you shouldnt have to worry about reliability.
