i love all kinds of good hi-performance vehicles, like my 98 240sx, and some american muscle cars, all kinds of cars, Xcept front wheel drives, cant stand em, anyways, here is my question, i found a 68 camaro prepped to be a race car and just needs a paint job, something i Xcell at, so the paint is not a problem at all, my question is, is it even worth it purchasing the car? its being sold for 5 gs and here are the current mods.....Body-New bolt on cowl hoodnew 1/4 panelsnew solid bushing in leaf springsadj shocksframe connectors8 point roll cage8 gal fuel cell1/4' fuel line5 way seat belt safety harnessMotor-400 sm 30 over 406850 carburetor tricked out to 9301" wood and 2' aluminum carburetor spacersvictor JR. manifold 3500-8000 rpmport and polished headroller rockersz-70 cam 5.7 eagle rodsflat top pistonsScat crankdouble roller timing chainHEi distributorAccel super coilAccel control module water pumpalternatorTrans-350 TurboB&M shifter55 stall bi spreaddrive loopmoroso u joint capsElec-Electric Radiator fanElectric Fuel Pump Holly bluePush button startMSD master on/off switchGauges-Oil water and temp under hoodoil water temp and batt in dashfuel gauge on hoodtack with lightswitches and panelExhaust-2" headers and 3" outlets4" mufflers 1' long 3 1/2 in 3 1/2 outturn downs3 1/2 collectorsRear end-9' DanaMini spoolFord 56 gearlong lugs and nuts28 or 31 spline axlesstracktion barsTires-M/Ts 10" slicks with tubesFront runners with tubesWheels-Centerline wheelsMetal valve stems& scews
the inside looks decent, could use some cleaning up, like new seats and stuff, the outside looks like it has no dents, just needs a paint job, how much hp do you guess he is running on that motor? it sounds really really good, and is it even worth it me purchasing that car? i love imports but i also love old classics....EJ
