All mode 4wd WEIRD problem!!

Hello,

So today I was driving from Toronto to London, and every time I put the car in AUTO, the 4wd system is engaged...I know because I can feel a very slight vibration in the steering wheel and when I put it back into 2wd, it jerks.

There was no rain...and I was going anywhere from 100 to 160km/hr, and it was doing the same thing regardless of speed. When I went back into the city, same thing!!

What's going on here?

Were you running on dry pavement?My 2 cents: I wouldn't run in AWD or 4WD over 100K. And I certainly wouldn't be switching back and forth while running at those speeds. There will always be a slight jerk when going back to 2WD, especially if you are accelerating. I believe that's pretty normal.

I contemplated about running 2wd but decided against it because the road was wet (wasn't slipping though), and wasn't accelerating hard, just constant speed.
