this is what i have... '91 240sx with an S13 SR20det. so far in the swap everything went fine. I also had a guy who has done this swap more than 5 times do my wireing (who did the wiring for his swaps...) then i get everything hooked up and went to start it. But i didn't seem to be getting any spark. Then i took out one of the coil packs took a screw driver and put in into it and had a friend crack the engine over while i had a little gap between the valve cover and the screw driver. I didn't get any thing. So we thought it might be the igniter chip so i swaped it out for one that is being used on a working car. still nothing. and then we tested to see if the igniter was getting any power. which it was. then we reset the timing by the book...nothing still. so here's my questions. A) the wire harness was tested on an '89 240sx and started up the very first time. Would that make any difference in the wire harness. B) maybe i am testing the coil packs wrong is there a different way. My next move is to use an ECU that i know works and see if it is that. Also use coil packs that i know work. If that doesn't work than i know it has to be in the wiring. Maybe this has happened to some of you and you can help me in the right direction. Any advice will help....

when you say that an 89 harness is different, do you mean that if a s13 SR20det is in it the wire harness will be different than if you put it in a 91? cause if so then that may be the whole problem. What all is different it still trys to turn over, like the starter and all... hope you can help

OK, so i tested the CAS and it has two good grounds but no hot wires, not even during start up... so i know that there are 2 wires black and white, that come together in a shielded wire which is gray and i saw that it ran to the ECU but thats as far as i got... so what should i do now? lookin for any kinda help...

my car did the exact same thing and it was the ECU, a full week of ripping my wiring apart and finaly pluggin in a new ECU and she started right up. If you are not getting any spark its most likely CAS or ECU, swap them for working ones and see whats up.

would i not get any power to the the CAS if it was the ECU... guess it might be the ecu because it was hooked up to another SR and worked fine... but i won't have another ecu till the 25th at the earliest any other things i can try? can i run a 12volt wire to the CAS just to see? or would i mess something up forcing it?
