I have been reading some of the threads in here, and I am a little surprised at some of the members like Steve. People with comments like his, and the disrespect that he carries will not be tolerated.

I don't want to see any of our members go, and want everyone to feel free to start new topics. I will be spending a lot more time in here hanging out, and getting to know all of you.

I may not own a G37, but do have a G35. Basically we are all on the same team.

So, since I'll be kickin it with you a lot more, I should probably introduce myself.

My name is Noah, screen name is beancooker, because I used to be a coffee roaster. I drive an '04 G35, which is pretty much my dream car. I always wanted a Skyline, but didn't want the legal hassles, and this was about as close as I could get.

I have been modifying my cars since the first one that I owned. It was a '72 Buick Skylark. I was sucked into the Nissan vortex, when my wife gave me a her Maxima. I started to do everything that I could to that car. Started out with intake and exhaust, then a full suspension overhaul. A few strut tower bars and some subframe connectors later, and it was a pretty fun 4 door.

Then the day came. My stepson needed a good reliable car, and we couldn't find anything that was worth buying for him, so I offered my Maxima up for the taking. My wife couldn't believe that I would give away my baby that I had put so much work into, so when we saw the G35, she said "go ahead and get it".

I have done a few minor things to it. Intake, plenum spacer and dual exhaust. But having the car payment cuts back on some of the mods so it's a few a year, instead of full blown overhauls...

I came to NICOclub a few years ago, when I was a member at another site. I owned a Maxima at that time, and the guys on the other site were ruthless, and it was a constant flamefest. A guy that I met at Discount Tire told me about NICO, and as soon as I started posting, I was welcomed and had an enjoyable experience.

That is the atmosphere I want to keep here. I think forums are great, and hate it when it gets nasty with personal insults and people flaming others.

So, that is me, and I'll be seeing you guys around.

Sir, If someone wanted a fine automobile like a 72 Buick Skylark, how would one go about finding such a jewel?

Mine wasn't a jewel. The 72 had hit a tree, and was missing most of the skin on the passengers side. When you rolled down the passengers window, you could still see the glass... inside the door.

Thanks Noah,This site is a great resource and it's a shame that some people would rather make it into a venting forum. Thank you for deciding to make a difference!Dave

I find it so much more enjoyable to drive on a smooth asphalt surface than on a gravel road.

Thats what i like about NICO, the laid back, willing to help all and not criticize the newbies. I am also a member at my350z, and i am sure there is probably a myG37 to compare to..... The only reason i continue my membership is because, its a huge forum with some helpful info (when you don't come across a master debate thread that started out as help). I hate posting on that site though. Most of the people on there are wasting time because all they want to do is argue with people about something they have never tried or never owned but read about in a magazine that was some journalists opinion on a product. And there are a few people that are helpful, but on NICO 97% have been helpful. The my350z forum may be bigger than the 350z forum on NICO, but everyday when i wake up, i check my mail and my NICO. I never get on that other forum, those people suck a fat one.

Its NIC

not NIC

Thanks guys. There will be some redecorating of the G sections in the near future as well. It will definitely be a change for the better.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I appreciate the compliment, but am really picky about stickies. This forum has too many to begin with, so I won't clutter it up any more than it is. Like we said, there are some great changes coming. Wait and see...
