Anyone know anything about alignments? I just got my M37x back and the guy said rear camber is not adjustable on these without an aftermarket kit. They also were not able to get the front caster in spec. The funny thing is that the listing is for a G model, even though the ticket listed an M. I don't know if the tech called it up wrong on the alignment machine or if they are listed as the same vehicle.

For the hard to see numbers:

Before
left front caster 3.4 right front caster 3.3
left front toe -0.16

After
right front caster 3.4

Camber and caster are not adjustable on this car, only toe. They definitely used the wrong car though. Sometimes they do not have the correct car available in their alignment machine so their alignment machine tech support will tell them what similar/related car has equivelant specs. This may be the case.

You can check the Min/max on you sheet against these from the Factory Service Manual.

Here are the RWD specs in case someone finds this thread and needs them.

See Factory Service Manual FSU.pdf and RSU.pdf.
Page FSU-8 says "Camber, caster, kingpin inclination angles cannot be adjusted."
Rear alignment is on page RSU-6 where it shows how to adjust Camber and Toe-In, but it does not mention Caster adjustment.

I find that Sears does a damn good job of alignments...pretty much the only place I use for alignments. Everything else I pretty much do myself.

Thanks for the replies, and especially the spec sheet, I didn't even think to look in the FSM. It looks like the specs are the same anyway. It's just crazy caster/camber are not adjustable. Maybe they are made better so they won't ever get too far out of spec?

This was at Firestone and they have taken care of me for years so I trust them. Alignments and tire service is all they do though since I do everything else myself.

I'm no expert on alignments, but here a link to my spec sheet. They had told me that Caster is not adjustable. I'm just waiting to change my tires because the car doesn't seem to track straight.
