Hey guys, a few weeks ago I noticed that when driving in a straight line my steering wheel was turned a little to the right (clock-wise).

While driving on the highway today, I noticed that the problem has gotten worse, the wheel has to be turned further clock-wise to go straight. It's almost at a quarter turn, to go in a straight line.

Anyone know what could cause this problem? Is there an adjustment that may be loose, and when it is loosening, it's causing the steering wheel to get further and further out of alignment?

Also, the car pulls to the right if I let go of the wheel while driving (towards the passenger side).

I know that a car that needs an alignment will have a crooked steering wheel, but I've never seen it get worse and worse.

Any help would be appreciated, I would like to take the wheels off ASAP and try to figure out what is going on, just want to know where to look.

Thanks!

Yeah, take it to an tire/alignment shop, express your concerns with them, let them fix.

I'm not trying to be sarcastic either. I really think that is what you should do.

Alright well I usually do all the work on my car myself, so I wanted to see if there was anything I could do The only thing I don't have access to is an alignment machine.

Also, I have to wait a couple weeks to get the alignment done, and wanted to know if I should be worried about the safety of this issue.

Thanks for the help!

To be on the safe side You should at least jack it up and give a look, while it is up spin the tire to see if the brakes are dragging.
