Hi Guys, So I bought a 95 SMZ and there were a few things on it that needed attention to pass inspection. It got new tires, and upper control arms. When they aligned the car, it still pulls to the right a little but not as bad as it did before. They said it ran out of adjustment. To me that tells me that there's something broke or worn out that needs replacing. Not sure what tho. What can I replace to get this resolved. Any and all insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advanced guys :dblthumb:

You have OEM tension rods? Check to see if it looks like oil has leaked from their big a** bushings. Could still try replacing those with aftermarket adjustables. Could bushings cause a bad alignment? I wouldn't think so. Maybe its been in an accident and you have some bent pieces. I'd also check your power steering rack bushings. They like to go out and can cause weird problems.

Thanks man. He did noted some items that I should get for the front and rear. Don't have the sheet with me but I'll check when I get home and post it up.

So looking at the alignment sheet, the mechanic noted that I needed or could need, to correct the problem, upper strut mounts on the right front and a camber bolt kit for the right rear. Does that makes sense? Could those two items make a difference in making the car track straight?

Upper strut mounts seem like a weird thing, to me, but I'm not an alignment expert. I would think they would more just deteriorate the ride quality and firmness of the suspension. Also strange that he thinks the bolts would need to be replaced in the rear. Wonder what would make a metal bolt wear out such that it couldn't properly adjust. I think he's referring to the adjustments in this section of the manual: http://www.300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/ ... t&total=35 . You may want to review the FSM sections for the front and rear axles and see if anything else jumps out at you.
