I just replaced my front upper links and got an alignment done on the spot. Another $500 expense. To pass a local inspection I was required to change the upper links, because they had a very small amount of play, and I thought since I have brand new tires an alignment would be a good idea. Check out these numbers and tell me what you think.

Here is the printout:

I think those look decent, rear camberisnt even adjustable to 1 degree.. IMO the main thing is difference between the sides... You wont be able to do much better unless you have adjustable stuff.

looks like the new links did nothing to change camber. front toe is still not set to factory target{.04} if i remember correctly. links cost about 200 a pair from joe, alignment 60-80$...they charged you too much in my book.

The amount is in Canadian dollars. The links are $150 each, labour was $72, alignment was $69.95 plus the taxes.

I know the parts are cheaper at Joe's but the shipping and handling and duties and exchange don't help in the end, especially if you're in a rush.

Remember FSM specs are for a brand new car with brand new everything.

What most don't understand is that misalignment [alignment specs] are designed to precorrect for what happens at 60 mph rolling down the road!

The toein tends to decrease due to forward thrust, so you must have some toe in to get to ZERO TOE at speed, no toe in [sitting still] will be a TOE OUT at speed with new bushings with used bushings it may oscillate in and out the rack may move.

The whole lower suspension is a bisected triangle: tension rods= front leg; lower a arm = bisector; with the sway bar acting as the rear leg.
