I figured I'd get a better answer to this question here rather than in the 240 forum. My 91 240sx fastback is lowered 1 3/4 inches front and rear. Im taking it to have an alignment done... soon. (as soon as I can track down a right rear wheel bearing ) anyway, my question is whether or not the stock eccentrics in the rear will have enough travel to get the camber and toe back to spec or if there are some aftermarket ones with more range I'll need to get. Also im wondering if any of the settings will have to be changed for a lowered car as opposed to a stock height car. I know lowering changes the center of gravity and roll center so im thinking that the camber/caster/toe might need to be slightly different from the stock specs to ensure proper handling and tire wear. If so I need to know what the setting should be so i can tell the guy at the shop. thanks for your help.

the rear may go far enough, not really sure. the front is what you really have to worry about though.

its a tossup bro. it really just depends on how bent your car is and where. i have one 240 that is at stock ride height and wont adjust into spec with those worthless eccentrics. plus, the eccentrics are easily damaged by incorrect adjustment(aka impact guns). if your car is lowered it just makes it that much less likely to go into spec. what you can do is have them get it as close as you can and drive it. then you decide if you want more or less of something. alignment is more important than ride height and almost as important as tire compound.

here is a good(laymans terms) alignment setting for performance

fronttoe just a hair of toe incamber -1.5caster +7.5 or more if you can get more

reartoe just a hair of toe incamber -1.0

now keep in mind your stock stuff is only adjustable for toe(front and rear) and camber(just rear).
