Alex Rodriguez is no exception. I’m the least bit surprised by his steroid use, because they all do it. Barry Bonds is getting a$$ raped for steroids, but I’m sure Alex will get a slap on the wrist. Keep in mind that Alex is the golden boy of baseball. yeah right.

I definitely had figured that he had at least used "performance enhancing drugs" (read; steroids) at one time, but I think its harder to believe that he just stopped using them altogether. What, they worked too well? Isn't that why you used them?

The bad thing about ARod taking it is that he never even needed it. He had all the talent that anyone else did without them.

Roids must have been the reason he snapped and screwed around with Madonna the fruit bat.

Went from A-Rod "The Cheat," to A-Rod "The Fraud."

and I thought he was going to be a superstar that beat the odds for all time all stars. Being crazy without the use of roids.

Looks like all my hope lies in Vladimir "The Impaler" Guerrero.

He's already admitted that he took it, but i doubt anything serious is really going to happen. Just a slap on the wrist.

He deserves to get busted and all other players doing roids should receivea stiff punishment. They're not cool at all.

In the end does it really matter?

The hardest thing to do in sports is hit a baseball and then do it consistently. A'rod had/has all the god given natural ability in the world and by the time he's done in about 10 years or so he's gonna have almost every record there is except for probably the hits record which is just ridiculous but i wouldn't put it past him.

Barry Bonds trial is coming up and he's gonna walk away a free man.

Like it or not Barry Bonds was arguably the greatest player to ever play this game with or without steroid or performance enhancing drugs.

I'm still gonna watch baseball regardless of who's on drugs, there are worse thing sin this world than that.

Put Conseco in jail for telling the truth? He's clearly no hero. He is also a snitch, he used PED's, and his motivation appears to have been just money. But exactly what did he do to deserve jail time?

The government's issue with Bonds is not whether he broke baseballs rules, but if he lied to a grand jury. That's perjury and it's a felony. Does anyone honestly think Bonds told the truth about not knowing what it was he was taking that bulked him up so much, so quickly? If you believe that's true, I have bridge for sale in NY. The problem is with all of the motions and suppressed evidence, there's a good chance he'll walk.

It's true both A-Rod and Bonds lied in national interviews about their use, but the big difference is Bonds also did it to a Grand Jury. Bad move.I think they should publish the names all 106 players that tested positive in the test that outed A-Rod. It seems only fair to the honet players did not cheat.

How about Mark Mcguire's brother writing that book to make a quick buck off his brother's supposed steroid use?

I'd put him on the same level as Conseco. pretty scummy, but not illegal. MCGuire didn't perjure himself, he just refused to answer. Technically he didn;t lie to Congress or the Grand Jury.

I'm a Yankees fan of all and I absolutely hate A-Fraud. But we do have to deal with him and so long he helps us win another World Series than so be it.

They should DEFINITELY publish the names of all these players. It's only fair to everyone involved, not just the ones that didn't use.

Food for thought on the "performance enhancing" issue.

1. Barry Bonds had already won three or four (can't remember) MVPs before his head and feet swelled like crazy.2. Jose Canseco’s brother who also took drugs is identical physically to Jose. Remember they are twins. He hardly made the Majors.

I think they should just publish the names and get it over with. The NYTimes just outed David "Big poppy-seed" Ortiz as testing positive.in that same test.
