I have a similar problem. I have a 1997 Infinity QX4, and recently the alarm started going off sporadically. At first, it was only once in awhile. Now, it seems that whenever I lock it (whether by remote or manually) it will inevitably go off, sometimes in 10 minutes, sometimes not for an hour or more. I replaced the battery and cleaned the terminals thinking it could be a drop in voltage. It's not a fuse problem either. I live in Phoenix and it seems worse when the temperature drops (i.e. it can sometimes be fine during the heat of the day - 70 degrees or higher). I've brought it to an alarm place and they said they'd it for half a day to try and diagnose it. They also said they didn't know if they could simply install a new alarm, and bypass the factory one. I don't want to bring it to the dealer because I'm sure it will be a $500+ charge, and that probably won't even cover the cost of the alarm if they end up replacing it. I'd appreciate any info you might be able to pass on. Thanks much.
