i'm looking around my general area for a nice alarm/remote starter/Turbotimer package... sadly i am no table to find any.. ( i can find a few on the net though )

So my question is, Would i be able to Run an Alarm/remote starter with a ignition Cut Aswell as a turbo timer?

ive been thinking about it, When the turbo timer kicks in and leave the car idle, And i arm the alarm. wouldent the alarm kill the ignition? thus making it relently pointless to have a Turbo timer....

i think that if you turn your alarm on while the tt is on that it will shut the tt off. i heard that you need to wait for the tt to go off before you turn the alarm on. not sure but thats what i heard.

i know the code alarm units that we sell at my work (circuit city) are great alarms with remote start and they have a turbo timer function on them, but i cant say ive used the tt feature so i dont know how it works. but as long as you place the ignition cut AFTER where you soldered the alarms ignition wire in, you will be able to cut the power to the ignition and still keep the alarm armed.

even alarms without a "turbo timer" function can be wired to work correctly with aftermarket turbo timers. A bit of creativity is required, though.

I relies that they could work, but most of the alarms that i have worked with when the alarm gets a +12 on the ignition line it will set the alarm off... this would apply no matter where you place the wires, the whole wire will still have the +12.

Im in canada, so its relatively hard to get to a circuit city, and they dont seem to have jack on there site.

Set a delay on the alarm activating for after the tt shuts down the car. So if your tt runs for 60sec. Have the delay run for 70-90sec. Just a thought.

this is what i mean. if you place the ign wire for the alarm between your ign cut and the 12v source then you can keep the ign wire intact with the alarm and still use an ign cut.

have you looked at anything from compustar or viper? they both have a few different models with alarm/starter/turbotimer.

I am an install shop manager for Circuit City. All Code Alarm and DEI (Viper, Sidewinder, Python, etc..) remote start/alarm/tt's will work fine. When you Arm the alarm with the TT on, it just bypasses the zone (ignition) in order to NOT trigger the alarm.

i know its kinda a pain in the ***.. but i would like the ignishion cut to still be intact with the car.. ( i think i twould be funny to see how far someone could get with ~60 seconds on the clock. )

i think my only option is to find an alarm that has it built in.

thanks for the reply's guys.
