After much wiggleing of the steering wheel and the key in the ignition, It freed itself and car started. Dont know if the steering lock was hung up or the key is worn, but it's OK now.SR
i had a chevy pick up that did that. i had to replace the key tumbler. it really sucked, mine was stuck in the on position though. i had to unplug the distributer every time i parked to shut it off and hope no one else realized how easy it would have been to steal. no problems after i got the new tumbler and got rid of the old worn key.
