Hey hows it goin everyone...I'm new to these forums and am a noob on infinitis haha...well I just bought a 2006 G35 coupe a few days ago and I'm kinda questioning if the car has an alarm on it. When I press the smart key lock button, the lights flash, but no horn or whatever confirming it. I've done the whole thing of sitting in the car, locking it, then manually opening the door from the inside and I still don't get anything....I really don't know what to do anymore so if anyone can help out that would be awesome! Thanks guys!

Here's a way to test :

Park your car outside the local YMCA, get out and press your lock button. Go inside for an hour or two. If you didn't hear any alarms during the time spent (police sirens don't count) and your car is missing, you know the answer! Woohoo! j/k.

Welcome to NICO.

PS - don't mind me. I actually have no idea. Someone will be right along to answer your questions.

on your key fob. (alarm button) press the lock and the unlock at the same time and hold them down. Doing this mutes or un-mutes the audio in our alarm.

Theo owner's manual gives you a whole section on how to program your alarm sounds. You can have the horn and lights blink when you lock or unlock, can even micro-wave some popcorn and fried chicken while your in the store.

Ummm , well you could try kicking the tires or hitting the windows when it is armed just to make sure. I believe they come from the factory with an alarm. Do a little research and you will find results.
