Hey everyone I am going to install a remote starter next week. Does anyone know if an immobilizer will be required?

I LOVE IT... i have a good alarm for my V so i don't have to worry as much anymore and just for fun I can start my car with a bunch of people standing around it and impress them.....

Hey Chris, where did you get your immobilizer from?

Edit by CodeRed, we don't need another argument regarding electronics.

Hello everyone! I just installed a remote start (Crimestopper) + CAN bypass (XK07) on my 2008 Versa with Intellikey. When i remote start my car, then enter it, the car does not register the Intellikey and I can't turn the ignition on. The only way I can drive away is if I take the mechanical key out of the fob, then I can use it in the ignition to drive away. Has anyone had a remote start installed on their versa with intellikey? If so, do you know how to have the car recognize the intellikey once it is remote started? Maybe there is another connection I need to bypass. Thanks in advance

hey i work at a install shop in toms river new jersey for a while now and one thing with the intelli keys is if your using a xk07 theres no key take over which mean that when u remote start the car and get in it its not guna read the factory key so what ive done is if the custmers really complain i say remote start it let the car warm up snd start it with the push button instead of remote start if the intelli key was liek mercedz and bmw were u actually stick it in the igntion and start it then it would not give you that problem when you remote start it

You "can" but I would highly recommend against it. If you are installing a normal remote start, then you will have to always remember to keep the car in neutral when you park. If you don't, your car will probably run into whatever is in front of the car at the time that you start it. Another problem is your car is in neutral when parked.

There are alarms out there (compustar I believe) that have remote starts for manuals (they do not start if the car is in gear).
