alarm remote donot work from far and remote starter acts up

i have a problem with me remote for my nissan leopard. i have one for the remote starter and the other for the alarm. they both seem to be genuine nisssan product because they both have the nissan name on the remote. the remote starter works great however i donot know much about remote starters. Yes it starts the car and if i donot come to the car in 20 minutes it shuts off fine. my problem is shouldn't the car stay on after i open the door to me car because mines donot. there seem ot be some safety feature that when the door opens the car shuts off and some experts told me i should be able to deactivate it so that once the car is up and running i can open the door stick the key in the ignition and put to the start position and just drive off is this true.

Also my remote for the alarm only work from up close why is that i already checl the battery. I read another post about rremote and the instruction to changing the battery is the same as the J30 so i hope somone can help me thanks bye for now
