alarm question concering remote start

My friend is selling his 2way paging alarm system for a pretty good price but i have a few questions. It has remote start but i have a manual and dont really care about remote start, can i still wire the system in and not hook up the remote start and have the system functional

Yes.

The alarm will probably share some of the remote start wiring but just don't wire up the crank wire (usually brown) and you won't have to worry about it trying to start. Worst it will do is power up the ignition for a couple minutes while it attempts to start a few times if you accidentally press the start button.

Yes you can stil install it depeding on the system. The only thing you dont have to hook up is the nuetral safety switch. With out that wire seeing ground alot of the system out there will not allow it to remote start.
