Alarm question (2002 QX4)

Hey Nico!

Okay, it seems something is a bit wonky with my alarm on my 2002 QX4

Sometimes when I open a side door (one other than the drivers side) and go to lock it, it doesn't have a horn sound but the door still locks.
Now when I only use the drivers side door and lock it, it makes a honk sound.
Whenever the honk sound doesn't occur, the alarm seems to randomly go off at some point, whether its 10 minutes later, or hours.
Now after this alarm has occurred, I press the lock button and it makes a honk sound.

I'm thinking it has to do with a door switch, but I've never seen the door open icon on the dashboard while driving. (also whenever i've tried to set the inside light to stay on when the door opens, it seems to randomly flicker while driving, with the doors closed obviously...)

I'm really thinking its a door switch/device that signals that the door is fully secured.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks NICO!

ALSO - I'm in the market for a new CD deck, any suggestions??? Any good builds on the forum that have a solid fit?

I would start by checking all of the door switches. Ensure their rubber boots are intact, and see if the interior light goes out when the switch is pressed manually.

Alpine! I love my alpine unit. I like a more grown up unit that doesn't have 56 different shades of red.
