Alarm problem

Whats up guys my name is Andy this is my first post just got my first Z a couple days ago its a 5 spd 93 TT and i'm pumped about it. It has 84k and since I got it, the alarm keeps randomly going off whenever the cars locked... I realize that there was inevitably going to be some electrical problems but this sucks. I cant drive the car anywhere because I cant lock it. What can I do? If i pull the alarm fuse will the car start? Does this indicate the wiring harness needs replacing?

What alarm? Factory or aftermarket? Is the yellow "security " light blinking on your dash?

If you want to remove the factory alarm you just unplug the alarm module which is on the passenger floorboard above the ecu.

Factory, and yes the light seems to be blinking always.

Either you figure out what door pin or hood pin is causing the alarm to go off, or you disable it. Could be the pin triggers or a problem with the alarm module itself.

Is the security light supposed to be on when the car is off?

when you say the alarm goes off whenever the car is locked, do you mean that it goes off when you unlock it? uf so it's the door lock sensor on the inside of the door handle

No i mean when the car is locked and sitting in the driveway the alarm goes off randomly like 2 times a day without anyone touching it.

sounds like a door or hood pin issue, you coud always just pull the security fuse

Thanks for your input, I just have it unlocked for now i feel bad for pissing off my neighbors. I need to experiment with it. Anyone know any good Z mechanics in upstate NY??
