when i purchased my car it did not come with the factory keypad for disarming my alarm, but so far just turning the trunk lock before opening the door has worked great up till this point. The trunk lock has become damaged so now everytime i open my door my alarm sounds for about 5 minutes. I was wondering if anybody could tell me how to disable the factory alarm

What year Q? Typically turning a key in any door lock should disarm the alarm.

On the older Qs I've been told that unplugging the under-hood switch - or was that unbolting it so that the switch is always in the "hood is open" position? I'd try it both ways and see what happens.

Good luck!
