Akward car start.

Ok today i try to start up my car and it start up fine. But after i press the clutch pedal in and try to shift to first i hear whinning/ grinding noise. I shut off the car and my foot is still on the clutch and i still hear my starter running. Than i took my foot of the clutch and pulled out my key, than I pressed the clutch down all the way and my starter starts up The starter turns on anytime the clutch pedal is pressed in all the way

Has this happened to anyone else?
