I ordered the Akebono Big Brake kit and I originally was going to just use the original brake lines with the banjo adaptor bolt, but now I think I want to order SS Brake lines.

The question is do I order brake lines for the G37s or the M35? My car is an 08 M35s

are you getting the set from CZ Performance? If so, give those guys a call to confirm. But from looking at the site, it appears that the Stoptech lines work on all G35/ G37 platforms. So you should be good if you went with previously mentioned models. While there, i noticed that CZ Performance has their own branded set, for about $40 or so less than the Stoptech kit(s) combined.

Let us know which one you go with. Also, did you opt. for the powder coated calipers when you got the BBK?

Ya I ordered it from concept Z performance. I called to ask about the brake lines and "Raymond" didn't seem to know what lines to buy.

I did have them powder coated Red with the white Infiniti logo. That's why it's taking 4-6 weeks to get them.

Should I get the SS brake lines or is it a waste??

You can get either g37s brake lines or 370z ones. I have SS g37s lines and the difference from what I see is just asthetics and no bends like oem lines. I'm no a brake expert so idk why they make SS lines but they came with my kit. What color M do you have and what mods?

-I'm not an expert either, but from what I was told back in my track days. The SS lines don't flex as much under pressure, as a normal line would. This is really beneficial on hot days when the fluid and the lines are warmed up and repeated pressure is applied. This was told to me by a guy that tracks his bmw pretty often. In daily stop and go, you don't get the "complete" added benefit of them, but after the heat is turned on, they do what is required of them, good. BUT given their protective coating, I would think that they would last a bit longer than stockers. (maybe??)

I say go for it Morgan... Hell, i know for sure that i'll be adding them when i pick my kit up. by the way. Thanks for letting me know that it takes an additional 4 to 6 weeks. That way i can have mine ordered before i come back stateside and not have to wait on them. And please let us know how the powder coating holds up to brake dust, water, washing and etc.

morgan, the ss lines, while they certainly wont hurt, arent necessary unless you are tracking your car. daily driving, even spirited driving wont warrant the need for these unless your hitting track days often and hard, whereas the weight of this car plays a big factor.
