AIV tube stuck, cant't budge it, any ideas would be appreciated.

I tried pulling my aiv today and got everything out but i cant get the tube to break loose from the exhaust mani. it simple wont budge an inch, i took an air grinder to it to try using a socket instead of a wrench, only after did i realize i dont have a socket that big (ill go get one tomorrow) but i sprayed it down with some sea foam deep creep inside and out and it still wont budge, any ideas?

i just put my big adjustable on it and hit it a few times with a mallet came loose pretty easily. i wasnt able to budge it without the malet. (this was on my egr tube) aiv was already gone for me

the only wrench i had was a stubby, which wouldnt work, the big adjustable i have just rounded two of the points (not majorly), and as far as cutting it off, if i do that i cant put the plug in :-p

hey im removing my AIV too...same problem cant get that one bolt off thats connected to the downpipe....im prob just gonna cut the pipe and remove the AIV sytem and plug up the 4 main hoses...just an idea if u wanna do that too bc im installing an obx header on mine so the hole is already plugged on the header

well i already cut the pipe to try and get a socket on it, but i bought the nissan plug, so id like to get it out and put the plug in for a cleaner look.

all else fails use the one thing that got it that way heat..just use alot more of it like a torch to heat it up...you do that it will come right off.

i gave up, i ordered a header from ebay, and im just going to slice the collector in half with a grinder to get the manifold out.

i took the stock manifold off in two pieces and just removed the entire AIV assembly...plugged the aiv hole in the header and all the lines and hoses.
