AIV system help

I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the metal pipe for the AIV system connects into from the turbo outlet. I am having a problem with my idle and when my car is at full throttle (it bucks and has no power). I currently don't have the hole plugged and can't remeber where the pipe had connected to before. I was also wondering if anyone else has had the same issue.
