AIV Plug for SR20DET?

My friends sr20det that im about to buy makes a wind like noise when in the garage. It said it was from not plugging up the hole on the test pipe? would he be refering to the aiv plug or another bolt. I'm confused which part it could be. (im feeling retarted right now)

Hmmm if its the aiv then its not the test pipe. My test pipe doesn't have a hole in it and I wouldn't know why it'd need one.

some ebay test pipes have a little hole for a sensor of some sort that our cars dont have.

that aggervates me if he put a ebay pipe on there i'll ask him but i know that he has the apexi Gt 3.44 in. piping

If its threaded itd be easy enough to plug.

its probably a bung for a o2 sensor, obd 2 cars use two o2 sensors but you could prolly just plug it up. No biggie

my sr also makes that whining sound......could it be because of the aiv plug not being closed???

and also, really dumb question, is the aiv hole on the backside of the turbo elbow???
