Hi, I just read the article on the AIV repair/removal. My car would stall out after starting it or when come to a stop the idles goes under 700rpm and goes back up. I believe this is the AIV. So now I've read on how to take it out and my question is how many hoses are there total that I need to plug up? 2 little hoses and 1 big one? and thats all right? Just take everything off and plug the hose up? I was still confused after reading sorry for the question.

Really that simple? It's almost as I shouldn't believe it! hehe.. Thanks.. So really just take everything out and there should be 3 hoses? 1 Exhaust manifold hose that's the biggest one and 2 little hoses just plug them all and I'm all set to drive?

AIV taken out and felt nothing til half the day later. Man my car pulls harder now like my old 95 Nissan 240sx. But I think my SOHC pulls harder now after taking the AIV out. Is it because of the weight differences? Cause thie car has 140hp and 152torque. The 95 240sx had 155hp and 160torque so yeah, please explain. Thanks!

Doubt it, but who know's.

A bad AIV will cause the car to run poorly.
