Yeah, I had priced that part myself when it first became available. I considered over $500 to be out of the ballpark for me. Over $800 now pretty much clinches that I won't *ever* be buying from a company like that, I don't care if they have a gem-encrusted body kit by Fabergé for the same price :P

Ugh...a price jump, and for what? A piece of fiberglass wrapped in CF? To top it off, I found out from the source (when I was down at AIT to pick up a wing) that most of their stuff is built in China. Sure, it's designed in the US, but they outsource nearly everything to China.

...not that I should be surprised, but they won't be getting my business again. Their offices were really disorganized and looked like crap too......

I KNOW! There were a bunch of incredibly dusty framed magazine spreads featuring their products and builds just lying about on the floor. We noticed a bunch of cobwebs hanging from the ceiling too...

...and honestly, it doesn't matter where your sales take place. If you're going to go to the bother of having a building like that, at least take pride in your workplace. After seeing the Stillen offices, it really gave me a genuine appreciation for the amount of love those guys put into their work. I mean, we have a huge studio apartment out here where we do our editing and whatnot, but no client and/or model ever sees it...we do all of our shooting elsewhere. We still keep that place spotless because it's a representation of our company.

Wow...this is really getting to me more than I thought it did! lol

I tried to get a GB going about a month or so ago for this CF trunk with molded lip. I was priced $520 shipped if we ordered 10 units, $510 for 15 units, and $500 for 20 units. Couldnt get it the GB goin without forum approval...i think Darryl was contacted. Not sure what happened after that. Darryl??
