can you run a t3/t4 turbo without an intercooler if you drive it normal or will it be too much heat for it and ruin it?

Depends on how much boost you want to run. Keep it down to 5 psi and you should be ok. I'd retard your base timing a few degree's juts for safety though. What are you doing for fuel control? If you use a 12/1 FMU you'll run rich enough to not need a IC.

5psi max! anything more and detonation will occur because of too much hot air.

It should be noted that retarding the timing increases the amount of heat within the engine, so I don't even know if 5 psi would be ok. If you have the money for a T3/t4 then you should be able to afford an intercooler. Be safe...

a cheap front mount intercooler setup shouldnt be more than 350 bucks. you can always get a SMIC off an SR for even cheaper too.

A few degree's base timing isn't going to heat up the EGT's that much. Plus by retarding the timing your reducing the cylinder pressure anyway.

What are you using for fuel management? If you keep it rich with a FMIC, you can simply retard the base timing like 2 degree's and be very safe.
