I assumed all models had AC built in but BOY WAS I WRONG! I completely overlooked it when I baught the car off a seller. The ac holes are blocked and covered with the factory rubber gromet and there is no button for the AC on the thermostat.... I realized that the fan wasnt working so was checking a few things and JUST realized this.

What are the parts I need to convert my car to have AC? I plan on doing a swap so this car isnt going to be running for a while which is a good thing. The AC compressor will come with the engine I am swapping as well so that is taken care of. I do have another 240sx but that is gonig to be soon sold.

If I wanted to convert this car to have AC, besides the compressor and a thermostat with the AC button, what else would I be needing? Is there a kit for it?

Thanks,

Eric

my car has none of the a/c components except the ficd which is integral part of iacv. what you need depends on what you have. check the fsm in my signature. you will need a condenser and tubing. putting the tubing together and putting refrig gas in will be expensive. you will need the evaporator as well. and a filter which is no big deal.

My biggest concern is wiring. I have a spare 240 pretty much I can use for parts. (I will just have to sell it for a lot cheaper). The only thing I want to avoid is the wiring.

Will the 2 different AC control unit plugs fit? Would I need to do some splicing? I also noticed there are 2 relay's missing in my car. One for the blower, and one for the AC(obviously).
