Airbag Service Recall;not so much

I took my 06'M35X in for the airbag recall last Tuesday and also for oil/filter change. They said they had the parts on hand for the recall so I scheduled the appointment. The gave me a new 2016 Q70L to take home as they said they would need it at least a day. I deal with Infiniti of Roswell. They are usually great for service. They called me the following day and informed me they did not have the parts (must have been used on another car) and that parts were on order. So + was I got to drive Q70L for 1 1/2 days (very nice :chuckle: ) and the - was they probably won't have the part until Jan. The airbag replacement is a huge issue and I'm told they can't get the parts quick enough.

Yeah ... parts are in short supply for all of them, I guess. it took two months to get the replacement air bag for my wife's Acura TSX ... eek! :eek:

Their advice in the meantime? Don't drive with a passenger in the front seat! :ohno: Since only the passenger side air bag is part the recall.

Was replaced this past week fortunately!
