Ok, so I bought this 2008 altima with the passenger airbag light on the center of the dash (above the radio) lit up no matter if someone was in the passenger seat or not. I told the dealer about it before i bought it and he "looked it up" online and told me that there was a recall on the car and to take it to the nissan dealer and they would take care if it. Well, I took it to the nissan dealer, they ran my VIN and theres no recall. They wanted $190 to just hook it up to the diagnostic tool and tell me what was wrong. I tried to call the dealer that sold me the car and he now won't return any of my calls. Is this just something that can be fixed by replacing the sensor under the passenger seat? I just moved across the country and bought this car to look for work, and I don't have much money left to spend. I would like to try and get these airbags working myself if I can, has anyone else dealt with this problem with the airbags before?
Thanks
