I got a 97 q45 that has 197,000 miles on it, but the air bag light is on.Is there anyway I can reset the light to turn off or do i need to take itto the dealer.

Don't know what your sunvisor says but mine says if the "Airbag" light comes on during driving you should take the car to the dealer for service immediately.

That's really a no-brainer.

actually thats a pretty common thing.

Open the drivers side door, and toward the bottom of where the latch is on the frame of the car there should be a switch that turns the interior lights on and off... turn the key on and press it about 10 times within 10 seconds of turning the key on.

That should turn the light off.

So the airbag light coming on isn't an issue?

Nah, it only comes on when they want you to exercise the door switch.

almost all the time whenever ive seen airbag lights come on randomly this is the cause.

i found out the hard way this weekend when the "electric device" fuse blows out that ur airbag light goes out and ur radio no longer works

The question is why does a fuse ever blow in a vehicle since the fuse is SIZED over the standard load. What is the primary defect? Something is seriously wrong.

I've never had a fuse blow in 18 years and 318,000 miles

Will I tried the procedures above given to me no luck, I guess I need to take it to the dealership and see whats wrong..
