I just changed my cabin air filter yesterday and today I noticed a flashing light on my dash for the air bag. When I removed the glove box, I did unplug a few wires but none of them seemed to be related to the airbag. When I reassembled I double checked everything and it all looked good. Is their a reset I can try or something?

You can try to reset the ECU....hopefully you don't have to take it to the dealer. You did plug everything back together, right?

ECU reset won't work, its a bit more elaborate. You have to put the car in diagnostics mode to get the light off.

What did you do to fix the problem? ECU reset or diag mode?

I followed the link that RED_DET posted and did that. It was a combination of turning the ignition on and off.

Took my seats out to install fatmat and now the airbag light is back on. When I tried to click on the link from red_det it didn't take me anywhere. Can someone help again?

better, not quite what i was hoping. That said, I still have more to do. I did behind the rear seats, and the entire floor. I still need to do the trunk, doors and am thinking about the front fender wells under the hood. Where did you stick it?

I haven't finished all of what I want to do. i did the trunk first. That was a lot of work because of my subs and stuff. I covered the entire thing. I think it cut down exhaust drone quit a bit.

Car still smells a little like tar. But the smell has subsided quite a bit.

Not sure if i would have gone with Fatmat if I were to do it again. Probably would have gone with B-quiets butyl mat.

Yeah, I think second skin has a good buytl mat also. If I knew fatmat would stink so bad, I never would have used it... I also just bought a gallon of second skin spectrum and a spray gun. I want to do the fender wells and trunk with it.
