Airbag light flashing and passanger bag sets to off when a passanger sits

So, last week, a friend of mine sat on the passenger side of the car [Altima 09 2.5s], and suddenly the Passenger Airbag OFF light turned On, and also on the dashboard, the airbag light starting flashing.

Know, i have for over a week, on several forums, and found that this was a common issue with nissan generation 4th cars.

Now, how can i diagnose reset / fix this issue? i know how to reset the lights, but as soon as someone sit son the passanger side, the lights turn on and the light on the dashboard starts flashing, and doe snot go away until i reset them using the :
Turn On.
Wait for light to flash 1 time.
Turn Off
Wait 7 seconds.
Turn On.
Wait for light to flash 1 time.
Turn Off
Wait 7 seconds.
Turn On.
Wait for light to flash 1 time.
Turn Off
Wait 7 seconds.

And then its fixed, however, as soon as someone sits, the lights turn on again, passenger weights more then 130LBS, soe the weight its not the issue. i've read that the blinking light means theres somethign wrong, and the static light means the bag is/was deployed.

Is there something i can do?
