Airbag light came on a month ago and keeps flashing!!!!!!

About a month ago my airbag light just came on by itself and ever since just keeps flashing. Should I try removing battery heads and see if it resets itself or does the module need to replaced.

I haven't had any accidents or anything like that to triger it.

My J30 did that ..Someone here gave me the fix ..

Open the door .. turn on the ignition (Not Starter) and tap the door switch 5 times VERY quickly The door switch is down at the bottom ..

R U talking about the little part that when you close or open the doors slides in or out ????

The stwich is the open door trigger on the drivers door towrds the bottom. Turn the inginition on - dont start the car - just all the way on and rapidly press and release the button 5 times. Turn the car off and turn on after about 30 seconds - you should be good to go.

If this doesn't do it - you GOT some problems - either the airbag module (harness) went bad or the car was in an accident.

I haven't had a chance to respond and thank. WOW that was easier than I thought. I followed the directions and within seconds the problem is resolved.

The problem is the airbag computer is put into diagnostic mode. Its odd how that happens, it did it to me after I had the battery undone for a few weeks (often i unplug my battery when i go on long trips so i dont have surprises!!!)
