Airbag light...again 2008 Rogue

I tried searching around for more info and got conflicting results. My Rogue's airbag light is blinking. I tried doing the reset trick a few times and it didn't work. Should I replace the spiral cable? Everything else on the steering wheel seems to work, which I read means it's probably not the cable. But it sound easy enough to replace. What else could it be?

There are a zillion things which can cause SRS codes on a 14 year old car. It's easiest to find a parts store with an SRS-capable scanner, but it is possible to get blinky codes on an '08. See SRC-158 here:
