Hello all

I have a 2017 NIssan Altima and trying to figure out why the airbag indicator light stays on.
Could be a sensor perhaps or loose wires?
Should I take it to a Dealer?
Where are the cable wires located so I can check for loose wires?
Should I be concerned when driving?

Thanks for your assistance.

Most part store scanners can read the airbag system, take it to Auto Zone or O'Reilly's and see what it tells you. The big ogre on gen5 Altimas is the side airbag modules inside the front seatbacks. The harnesses fatigue and you can't replace just the bag and harness, you have to replace the whole seatback.

Is the light flashing or solid? If it's solid then the Auto Zone scan missed something. If it's flashing then the Bag Brain is stuck in "diagnosis mode" and there's a procedure for getting it out:
