Leave it on. All its doing is bringing air into the engine bay. It only helps

I first initially took mine off when I installed the Injen... but the car was REALLY loud. So I put it back on and it's not as loud.

Leave it on.

The intake was really loud. If you think the sound from the intake is loud WITH that tube... it's 2 or 3x's as loud without it. I didn't want to attract police attention any more so than now... so I put it back on.

Leave it on and mod a pipe to aim the air directly at the intake

so if u dont have it on its louder, but doesn't more air get in cuz now its not blocked from the front. To me it seems like it restricts the air from coming in for some reason cuz the gap is so tiny.

i say take it off, it looks pointless there and i doubt that its helping performance with it there.

its ramming air directly into the engine bay and intake. I bet it helps performance more than it hinders it.

Leave it. Doesn't hurt anything.

I especially like the full technical term of "thingy"
