hey guys, im about to purchase the Universal Air Suspension kit from house of lowriders in san bernadino, CA. and get it instal there for a lil over 3gs. they use these "aero sport" bags over your exisiting stock struts. has anyone here ever rode in a car with a UAS setup? should i go with it or just get some insurance coilovers from japan. thanks

I heard of something like this... I think it was a japanese company that I heard of tho, i think it was calle dthe air cobra or something like that... the guy told me its only good for dropping the car when parked to get that VIP camber look.

I do not know how much he knew, but that what he told me... hope it helps... I am currently looking at different coilover options....

3k on that, I would go coilovers for sure....how low can you really go? There is a great Q guy down San Diego way too, cannot think of his name, Jerry something?? Guys help me out here, but what are you going for. If it is for performance, than bags are not the way to go, I think the Insurance coilovers are from what I have read the best, but if this is to just make your car jump up and down than go for it, but 3k??? Man....I spent a total of $1250 to get a 2" drop with Tein springs, KYB SR Specials shocks installed. I do not think you can really drive a car as big as ours much lower and use it daily...as it was I had to bump up to 19" rims before I wouldn't scrape my cats going in to the garage everyday.

Where do you live in San Diego, I lived there for 9 years, go Aztecs!

well i've been doing a lot of research about suspension options for the Y33. we have the air runners. air cobras, Bold suspension, UAS, or traditional coilovers. my main concern is to avoid messing up my car and wheels from socals ****ty roads. with air suspension i can just hit a switch and get by. the downside is that it won't allow you to drive that low than coilovers. but when your parked you'll be really dumped. insurance coilovers run about $2,000! with these i can adjust by hand and roll really low but i won't be able to drive around different areas in the city and go up my driveway. I'm leaning more towards the UAS kit beacause its backed with a 3yr./36,000 mile warranty. and the place where i can get it done has dealt with many lowrider customers. but im not sure how it would do on a daily driver and my baby in the back seat with me ..

airunners basic air suspension kit a lone is $4,699 , and it's hard to get a discount on those because it's from japan. they do have some nice *** struts , but if something happens to them you gotta ship em out to japan and wait for a while to get a response. thats why im going with the UAS setup. and if i do have a problem with it i can check em out. oh i also heard the installation instructions it comes with is in japanese ... over here in san diego theres only one place you can get airrunners and the average wait time is 3-4 months.
