What do you guys think about the Versa on air bags? I am not looking to go all out, but my friend is harrassing me to bag it. He has a 93 Special Edition Accord on bags, and I love how he can adjust his stance at any time as he wishes and pleases, but he also likes to make it jump. I am not looking to make the V jump, I don't want to have it all screwed up, but to be able to adjust my ride height and have the wheel wells filled the way I want would be the thing I am looking for.

What are your opinions on having the V bagged for ride height adjustability??

Since you are not planning to make it hop you maybe ok. You have to consider how much space will be taken up by the tanks and compressor. These are small so in that regards it may not be worth it. Of course you can always keep the stock parts and put them back when you need to. I've never ridden in a vehicle on bags so I dont know what the ride quality would be like. I don't think you'll get the ride quality or performance handling of a spring. You could also wait for an adjustable suspension so that you can raise and lower the car with the spring/strut assembly. It wont be as easy as the bags but you lose no cargo space.

I've rode and drive a variety of vehicles with bags and depending on the vehicle, it make a world of difference. In some of the 40' Diesel RV's that I've driven before, it makes for one heck of a ride. When you drive a comparable gas with shocks, there's not comparison. In pickups you feel not so much of a difference, but when you get a load then you really can tell how the ride smooths out. In the cars, it tends to be on the stiff side and kinda jerky. The people who've owned the cars got the bag for slamming the car and not for ride quality, so it was more for show than anything. My experience has been the more weight, the better the ride quality. You'd bag an semi out of necessity. You'd bag a car for show. As far a putting them on a V, I wouldn't think it would be wrong. It would be nice to see a V sitting on the ground one day.

yea, I don't plan on going allllll out, just a small tank and probably a powered compressor not belt driven since it will not get used much. Trust when I say that the tank would not be seen or even known I have one, because I will probably use a 5 gallon which would go in the spare tire well. Dunno if anyone has looked at theirs, but I swear I could probably hide myself in there! Ride in a car with bags is quite stiffer than stock, but adjusted perfectly for everyday driving, it would be better than the stock springs I am sure. I over extend going over bumps sometimes that I think would be safe to do the speed I am, I am used to my Sidekick that had good extension, which the V does not have the same amount. Still getting used to the big differences in the two vehicles. Not something that would be done soon, I am just curious to see what you guys all think, as I am researching equipment cost, and all that.

IF you just want a better ride and not adjustable ride height. Some aftermarket shocks and springs with the dampening tuned for comfort but still with good control. Some lightwright wheels to reduce unsprung weight will also help, but keep it in the stock 15", but some 195's might help. A slightly wider foot print with the same profile seems to help ride sometimes.

I really don't want to have to get out of the car before every ride to have the car sit higher and lower, that is what I want. I may eventually be doing shows so having air ride will be a big +!
