Air ride or Lowering suspension? (Where to find?)

Hello everybody, I've got a '98 Qx4 and I must say I'm really happy with it. Out of my other pre-owned *Formerly owned* cars this ones a keeper, i want to personalize mine from others though, i would like to lower my Qx4 about 2-5 inches without majorly affecting the suspensions functions from the factory, if possible make it better.

Now I've thought about lowering springs, but that has *+jumpy suspension 10pts* (if you get what i mean) written all over it. does anyone know a reliable lowering springs that wont make my Qx4 have a rave every time I ride over speed bumps?

Another option I've thought about is an Air ride suspension, although it seems impossible to find or I'm just blind and cannot find where to purchase one without modifications to the chassis.
